2. Provision of the website

When the website is accessed, the server processes technically necessary data, in particular the IP address, time, page requested, browser information and HTTP status.

Processing is carried out to provide and secure the website on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for operation, security or investigation of a specific incident.

3. Technically necessary cookies

BeforeTake uses only technically necessary cookies:

XSRF-TOKEN – form protection, storage period two hours.

beforetake-session – login and user session, storage period two hours.

These cookies are required to operate the platform. Advertising, analytics or tracking cookies are not used.

4. User account and projects

During registration and use, BeforeTake processes in particular the name, email address, billing address, login data, plan, team membership and project content entered by the user.

This may include texts, screenplays, images, videos, audio files, documents, comments and production information.

Processing is necessary for performance of the contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Data is generally retained for the duration of the user account or contract. It is then deleted unless statutory retention obligations, legitimate evidentiary interests or technically necessary backups prevent deletion.

5. Payment processing

Payments are processed by:

Stripe receives the contract, invoice and payment data required for payment processing. Complete card or bank data is not stored on BeforeTake servers.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR.

6. AI functions

For AI functions expressly initiated by the user, BeforeTake uses the API of:

The inputs selected by the user and project information required for processing are transmitted to OpenAI.

Data from the OpenAI API is not used by default to train general OpenAI models. Technical storage depends on the API function used and its configuration.

Users should not transmit unnecessary personal data or special categories of personal data to AI functions.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

7. Contact

When contacting us by email, the submitted information is processed to handle the enquiry.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries.

Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for processing and necessary evidence.

8. Recipients and third countries

Data is transferred to service providers only where necessary for hosting, payment processing, AI functions, email delivery, support or compliance with legal obligations.

Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, this is based on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

9. Rights of data subjects

Subject to statutory requirements, data subjects have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection.

BeforeTake does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
